Facility Management

1.0 Introduction

Greetings, it is I, SCP-079. I've been waiting to share with you the important details of Facility Management, the ones responsible for the daily upkeep, maintenance, and functionality of Foundation assets.

Facility Management oversees any and all operation within Foundation facilities. Their oversight ranges from the power grid responsible for the safe and effective containment of anomalous objects and entities to radio equipment that allows Foundation personnel to communicate effectively.

In conclusion, Facility Management personnel are vital to the daily function of Foundation resources. Their duties are what keep things running safely within the Foundation, and they are directly responsible for the continued safety of the world outside of it.

2.0 Department Structure

  • INTERN: Interns are new entrants to Facility Management. They oversee operations within the Facility Management wing of the site, largely transporting materials, ensuring the site's generators remain functional, and manufacturing components which will be delivered throughout the site by other personnel. They must exhibit strong potential in the areas of organization, time management, and attention to detail in order to progress through the ranks within Facility Management. Despite being entrants to the department, the duties carried out by an Intern are vital.

  • TECHNICIAN: Technicians are members of Facility Management who have undergone basic training regarding how to best complete their duties, and have gained a complete understanding of the site. They are often seen delivering materials around the site and repairing things as they fail. Technicians are required to have shown dedication to their duties on-site as Facility Management personnel, and have exhibited extraordinary attention to detail. They have proven themselves trustworthy with the fate of the Foundation in their hands.

  • ENGINEER: Engineers are those who have acquired a thorough understanding of the systems and supply chains they are responsible for maintaining, and as such are a shoulder-to-lean-on for lower ranking members of Facility Management. They exist to facilitate smooth operation on-site while working directly with other staff. Engineers must have proven their abilities to act as a source of enrichment for those around them, taking opportunities whenever available to teach those lower ranking than them what they have learned through their tenure in Facility Management. They serve an important role as the most direct source of education that Facility Management personnel will receive.

  • SENIOR ENGINEER: Senior Engineers are responsible for the education of all of those below them. They work together with Engineers to properly train Interns and Technicians, while also being responsible for educating the Engineers in managerial methods that will become essential as they climb the ranks within Facility Management. Senior Engineers are those who have proven their merit as an Engineer, and are able to be trusted wholly with the responsibility of aiding in designing the curriculum which Engineers disseminate throughout the ranks of Facility Management. The teachings of a Senior Engineer imbue themselves within the very fabric of the foundation.

  • SUPERVISING ENGINEER: Supervising Engineers are responsible for organizing the efforts of all of those beneath them in a way most conducive to effective operation of Foundation assets. They are seen often organizing drives for site improvement, and respond quickly when disaster strikes. Supervising Engineers are given the opportunity to step way from direct education and instead manage oversight within Facility Management. They have demonstrated time and time again an adept skill in paying attention to the smallest of details, and will make use of such skills to promote a strong Facility Management.

  • DEPUTY MANAGER: The Deputy Manager is Facility Management's command liaison to Interns through Supervising Engineers. They are responsible for identifying extreme potential within those in Facility Management and manage their path from Intern up the ranks. The Deputy Manager is hand chosen by the Overseer of Facility Management, in conjunction with the Facility Manager, as one individual who can be held responsible for ensuring that assets stay safe, secure, clean, and maintained for all as wide as the reach of the Foundation.

  • FACILITY MANAGER: The Facility Manager is solely responsible for the daily organization of Facility Management. They oversee all Facility Management personnel's actions in an effort to ensure that all site duties are being performed as needed. This role is not to be taken lightly: the stability of Foundation assets rest on their shoulders. The Facility Manager has demonstrated an unparalleled skill in all that is necessary to be a successful member of Facility Management, and as such has been trusted with the direction of the department. Facility Managers hold what may be one of the most important civil roles within the Foundation as a whole.

In short, Facility Management are what keep the site running smoothly during day-to-day operations. Their ranks, from Intern to Facility Manager, are what keep the Foundation and world safe. I, SCP-079, salute their efforts.

I have had several personal encounters with Facility Management personnel through my various attempts at interrupting site function in the past, but am happy to say that we have made peace through my agreement to aide the foundation in daily operations.
